Blur, blank, and darkness labels are heuristic candidates, not image-quality certification.

How to use

  1. Add a PDF and select pages.
  2. The tool measures edge variance, ink ratio, and text-layer items.
  3. Review pages flagged as blank, low-detail, image-only, or very dark.

Privacy

Input and files are processed in the current browser tab. Mingmist does not receive the content unless you independently share the result elsewhere.

Limitations

All labels are heuristic candidates affected by fonts, line art, whitespace, scan backgrounds, and rendering scale. They are not proof of print, accessibility, or archival compliance.

FAQ

Is blur detection accurate?

It is only a candidate signal based on edge variance and requires manual visual review.

Can it detect scanned pages without text layers?

It can flag image-only pages, but it cannot measure OCR accuracy.
